5th's Portfolio Party and Poetry Cafe
Parents, mark the date of Wednesday, May 13 (7:30am-8:00am)....this will be the date of our grade-level's Portfolio Parties. Placed in the context of a Poetry Cafe, the Portfolio Parties provide a time to not only celebrate your child's academic growth, but also, enjoy some of his/her original poetry.

Key Dates: May 8 and May 15
Friday, May 15 will be the last day students can take AR tests in order to meet reading goals for this quarter and year. However, exactly one week EARLIER, all Media Center books will be due! Students will need to read AR books in class/grade-level libraries or go to the public library (East Marietta maintains a list of AR books) if they are continuing to work on AR goals
Hawaiian Luau
We are celebrating finishing up our CRCT testing by having a 5th grade Luau Party! Students, bring your favorite cut fruit, and we'll make a mixed fruit bowl to share. Bring your favorite chip and drink too. We will celebrate from 12:00 - 12:30.
CRCT April 21 - April 27
Congrats to our students who worked hard during this first day of CRCT testing. Today students completed the Reading section. Below is a schedule for the remaining sessions:
