Thanks to everyone who came out to support our school wide art show. I think everyone enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful art work created by Sedalia Park Students and Staff! Funds rasied from this event will help provide art supplies and materials for every grade level.

Thanks to PTA we were able to once again participate in Cobb County's Artist At School Program which brings professional artists into our school. This year our visiting artist was Michael Harper, a comic book artist. He spoke to Kdg.-5th grades about how he became an artist, how comic books are created and how we can all improve our own drawing skills. The kids had a great time! 3rd and 4th graders are going to be creating their own super heroes in art class soon. Look for their creative creations to be on display at the Park.
The 5th grade art students have been working very hard these first few weeks of art! They have just completed a mixed media (lots of different materials such as paint, colored pencil, pastels, etc.) family portrait. We learned a lot about mixing colors to find the perfect skin tones. We also learned a lot about size and proportion. The finished portraits will be on display at PTA Oct. 1st. More information about the art show will be posted soon.
