On March 2, Sedalia Media Center will be celebrating Read Across America Day. 44 students from Sprayberry High School will enter our school dressed as Cats in the Hats. They will read to selected classes, give each student a Cat in the Hat bookmark, and have everyone recite the Reading Pledge. Try to find Mrs. Share. She will be in a cat suit!
During the month of February, many classes will be studying the almanac. After that, we will be reviewing all 5 basic reference books. Kindergarten and first will have stories and puppet shows going along with their curriculum. February is Black History Month and we will read books honoring African Americans.
