Homework: March 19-23

First Grade:  1.  Transform the first letter of your first name.  You will need to glue the letter onto another piece of paper and turn it into a new creation.  Make sure you use elaboration by adding details and color.  2.  Finish your comparing and contrasting activities on the More Scientific Pairs sheet you put in your homework folder.

Second Grade: 1.  Practice the Greek Alphabet song.  Can you sing it without help?  Download Greek ABC song.  2.  Do the Counting Like a Greek sheet.

Third Grade: 1. Go to the following link.  Scroll down to the activities.  Complete the Egypt Challenge and 2 other activities of your choice.  Make sure you write down what you have learned so you can share with the class next week.    Egyptian Fun Guide  2.  Write an evaluation of our mummy presentation.

Second Grade/Third Grade:  1.  Permission Slip/money for Mummy Wrap  2.  Do a second vocabulary tic-tac-toe activity.

Fourth Grade:  1. You guys did a great job presenting your Tic-Tac-Toe activities.  Micaiah, I'm sorry we ran out of time because the buses came early.  We can try to post your game on this blog page if you want to bring it to me on Thursday morning or email it to me tonight. Jack, I can't wait to see your above and beyond in the morning! Thanks for working to get it ready today. 2.  Go ahead and do a second Tic-Tac-Toe activity making sure you are thinking of how the words relate to frogs.  Elaborate and do your best.  3.  If you forgot your materials for your Fly Catcher, bring them next week.  The ugly stomach bug at my house bought you some extra time.  Take advantage of it and COME PREPARED!  4.  Try out Mystery Sound #5.

Reminder: Bonus Time Tickets

Way back in the Fall we established a Bonus Time Ticket policy.  Students may print their tickets to use when they need more time on a basic assignment.  Tickets were not meant for lengthy projects, nor are they an excuse to never turn in the task.  If you choose to use the ticket, make sure you are following the rules on the form.  Download Bonus Time Ticket

First Grade:  Complete Loose Laboratory Limpets by cutting them out, grouping them, and then glue them into their cages.  Make sure you label the cages with the category names.

Homework Feb. 27-March 2

First Grade:  1.  Logic Puzzle  2.  Check out Mystery Sound #4 from the previous posts. (Scroll Down)

Second and Third Grades:  Third grade will move to Fridays starting MARCH 9th.

1.  Scribe a message in your clay using the cuneiform chart and a stylus (pencil point, toothpick, fork, etc.)  2.  Check out a website on Mesopotamia.  Look for history of the region including clothing, language, architecture, and religious beliefs and any other cool facts you would like to share.  How is this ancient culture different than you?  One good site to use is Mesopotamia for Kids.

Fourth Grade:  1.  Weighty Word Response-CORUSCATE  2.  Finish your Dr. Seuss Quotation Quizzler.

Fifth Grade:  I hope you had a blast at Rock Eagle.  I'll see you on Thursday.

Fourth grade will meet on Friday, March 2nd instead of Tuesday this week.

First Grade: 1.  Finish checking off your strengths on the Many Sides of Me Multiple Intelligence survey.  Use it to complete the MIflip-book.  2.  Transform the pink or red heart into a new creation.  Try to come up with an original idea and use crayons or colored pencils to elaborate (add details) to your work.  I will see you Monday, February 27th since you are out of school on February 20th.  Happy President's Day!

Second and Third Grades: 1.  Finish Tools of Archeology if you didn't complete it in class.  2. Complete Focalby's Dig.
