Meet the Wonderful Front Office Staff!

Mrs. Jennifer Lawson, Principal
Greetings, Sedalia Park Families and Community! It is my honor and privilege to be joining the Park family this year. Sedalia Park has such a rich tradition of excellence and pride within our community. I am delighted to have the opportunity to be part of celebrating this rich heritage, while we continue to keep our efforts focused on successfully preparing our students for a bright future, where their opportunities will be endless. Through hard work, dedication, and commitment, we will work tirelessly to provide a rigorous, responsive, and safe learning environment for all of our students.
I have spent the last 15 years of my life dedicated to the lives of children. The challenges are great, but the rewards are always greater! After graduating from the University of Alabama and then obtaining my Master’s degree at the University of Georgia, I began my career as a classroom teacher with Marietta City Schools. Following the completion of my Educational Specialist’s degree in 2000, I have served in the role of both assistant principal and principal. I look forward to this new chapter of my life here at Sedalia Park.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful and supportive family. We reside in Kennesaw, where my husband and I have three precious boys, who keep us very busy. In our free time, we enjoy almost anything that involves the great outdoors, especially if it includes Alabama football.
Mr. Pedro Cos, Assistant Principal
Hello, my name is Pedro Lazaro Cos, and I will be serving my fourth year as your assistant principal. I would like to send a warm greeting to Sedalia Park Elementary parents and community. It is indeed a pleasure to be working in concert with such a dynamic and committed group of educators here at the Park. Our main focus is to provide a safe learning environment for all of our students and make a positive impact on their lives while conitnuing to strive for academic excellence.
Originally from Havana, Cuba, I am currently entering my 23rd year as an educator. My previous teaching experience has been as a music specialist in New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta Public Schools, and Cobb County Schools. I earned my Bachelors degree from Queens College in New York and my Masters degree from Georgia State University. I recently completed the Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University. My family and I reside in Marietta.
We believe we will achieve and succeed. We celebrate learning!
