Proud of our Past as We Look Toward the Future!
Sedalia Park Elementary school was built in 1955 on land bought by Cobb County from the Sewells, a pioneer Cobb family. The school was named for Sedalia, Tennessee, which was the home town of Paul Grubbs, a contractor for some of the work on the school.
In Sedalia Park's opening year (1956-57) the faculty consisted of 11 teachers, 4 grades 1-8 and a student enrollment of 285. Over her 50 years Sedalia Park has seen many additions and changes with the latest being completed in the fall of 2006.
