8. Every Friday is casual day; however, students must comply with the daily dress code requirements listed above. Jeans are allowed only on casual Friday.
Support you can expect:
Families experiencing financial hardship may seek assistance from Sedalia Park to participate in the uniform dress code. When assistance is requested, a child will be given 3 outfits.
Failure to comply:
Per the Charter, students are expected to wear uniforms everyday. Enforcement of this policy will begin 10 days after the start of the school year or 10 days after a child enrolls. Failure to dress in uniform will result in the following:
1st time: Teacher will notify the parent via telephone or note. The parent must sign the note and return it to the teacher.
2nd time: Teacher send a note informing the parent that should the child be out of compliance a third time, and Administrator will make contact.
3rd time: Principal or Assistant Principal will contact the parent. Parents of students repeatedly in violation of the daily dress code will be referred to the Governing Board.
Students who do not follow the Sedalia Park dress code will be ineligible for leadership positions. Students out of uniform 5 or more days over a 9 week period will be ineligible for the Character Club Award.
